Fun Fridays #36 - ONE PIECE SNOW SUIT

This is a series called:  "Fun Fridays".  On the first Friday of every month I will share with you an old photo or something from the recent past that made me happy;  in hopes that it will at least make you smile 😊


The picture above was taken at the end of the blizzard of 78 - it still lives in infamy.  We were unable to open our doors until the neighbors shoveled us out (we were trapped indoors for a couple days).  Finally, after we were freed, my sister and I immediately struggled to put on the one piece snow suit that was a requirement for all children at that time (I am the girl on the left).  This snow suit was definitely warm, but it cut off the circulation in both arms after about 10 minutes of wearing it (the winter fun overrode the pain from the suit - haha)

In With The NEW

In With The NEW

We are only days away from welcoming in a New Year but the only true "new" happening is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
It is because of Jesus that we have become a 
NEW creation - a NEW birth 
with a NEW life, 
a NEW self 
and a NEW attitude.  
Jesus gave us a NEW command 
and we look forward to a NEW heaven & earth!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ 
from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:3-5

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Christmas at the Manor House

Christmas at the Manor House

I wanted to post these "Christmas-themed" pictures before December 25th buth the third party photo service that I use had a breakdown.  However, I always keep my Christmas decorations up through New Years Day, therefore this post can still be enjoyed now.
This Manor House was built in 1936 by a wealthy family who made their riches from a spark plug company.  This mansion became a museum in 1970 and every December they decorate each room with a different theme (I have featured 8 different styles).
