 Larger Than Feet Parsnips

I just had to share these pictures with you!  We just harvested our parsnips (spring is the season for harvesting parsnips that have been mulched over the winter).....and look at the size of this beauty!!!  My shoe size is size 7 women's - which is a normal size - not huge but not small either.  What a wonderful parsnip year!!

ENJOY!!

  3. Wow, cool that there is something to harvest in the springtime. Would that be possible for carrots as well?

    1. Yes, it is the same for carrots - I actually pick(dig) carrots throughout the winter but you must mulch first - this is a post that I did on mulching carrots for the winter: http://www.godsgrowinggarden.com/2011/11/mulching-carrots.html
      Thanks!
