Echinacea Excellence
Our small patch of Echinacea has really grown into a pretty little flowerbed.
As a flower Echinacea is beautiful but it is also a beneficial/healthy herb used for the immune system. The root is the "medicinal" part (see my disclaimer below).
I decided that I had to share these photos with you since I had so many pictures. I especially like those where you can see the colors of this flower reflected in the garden gazing globe.
All photos were taken by me (Angie Ouellette-Tower) and the sunflowers were all grown in my garden.

Oh I love Echinacea. I grew up calling it purple cone-flower and didn't realize it came in other colours till I was an adult. I have some beautiful bright pink echinacea in my garden now. I live in New England, USA and we have been transitioning into much dryer summers. This is a beautiful flower that does well without as much water.
