Sweet Potatoes as Side Dishes

I think Sweet Potatoes are one of my favorite vegetables & they are good for you!  Did you know that Sweet Potatoes are full of antioxidants like vitamin A, vitamin C & beta-carotene?  Antioxidants help reduce inflammation and help lessen the damage from free radicals.  Sweet potatoes are also high in fiber & they are low on the Glycemic Index!! - They're sweet but won't spike your blood sugar levels!  (Please read my disclaimer below - I am not a doctor - these are findings from my online research)

Below are some of my savory Sweet Potato dishes that I have shared with you in the past - they are in order of my preference.  Oh, & let's not forget our canine children - I also included my sweet potato dog biscuit recipe.
