What is a "Prayer Warrior" you might be asking?  A "Prayer Warrior" is an individual who receives God's provision and protection by asking and listening to God through PRAYER.

  This series is all about true life prayer stories showing proof that prayer works.

"Can We Get the Mail?"

True story - written by Michelle Nason

We had just moved into our ʺdreamʺ home, It had been approximately six weeks. I remember my girls coming up to me and begging to get the mail, please momma please can we get the mail. Ok and I received a big hug from my youngest With a ʺI Love You Mommaʺ Off they went with their bikes to the end of the driveway. I went the other way and was setting up the sprinkler in preparation for a long awaited Mini Vacation that we were starting.
 It was August 10th, 2002. Cait was just nine years old soon to be 10 and her sister was 11. I can remember thinking to myself Oh the girls are going to love this, playing in the sprinkler and camping in our backyard down by the pond, as the water from the sprinkler was spraying across my ankles. It was quite warm out.
My thoughts were broken by the frantic sound of my husband's voice as I turned to see Him running at me in slow motion and falling to the ground and getting up again as he shouted ʺOH MY GOD.... Call 911 Call 911ʺ I instantly knew that one of my precious children had been hit by a vehicle and I cried out to God ʺPlease Lord Jesus, Don't let it be a Corn Truck (as we had moved from a cul de sac to a busy country highway) and many corn trucks travel the 55mph road. Please don't let it be a corn truck I prayed over and over as I ran into the house to call 911ʺ Before I got to the phone I heard the voice of the Lord speak to my spirit as if he was in the same room as me (and of course he was) ʺShe's going to LIVE.ʺ Crystal clear without a doubt from Him and I believed. I trusted and became peaceful even thou I knew it wasn't.
Needless to say an ambulance came, my Dad arrived because when I was running with the cordless phone I got disconnected and So I called my God Fearing Parents to alert them to our prayer needs and said Pray for Caitlin Pray for Caitlin she's been hit by a car. My father arrived as they were loading her into the ambulance and they stopped for a moment for him to lay hands on her and pray for her to recover from this horrific accident.
She spent almost a month in ICU at Children’s Hospital and just shy of two months before we brought her home in a coma. They didn't think she was going to live through the night let alone the week as she had suffered a very severe closed Head trauma. But God is Good and Hears the cries of his people and he answers them.
Today Cait is a blessing, She doesn't exhibit the behaviors of most TBI patients but she does have a disability. I don't mind. I have been able to share God's Love with all whom we have come in contact with.
If one person comes to Jesus by what My baby Girl suffered that day is all that matters to me. Because our children are not our own. They are His on loan to us. A gift from God. It is my desire as is Christ's that None shall perish but that all will come to know Jesus' love for them. This life is just a vapor a temporal thing in an everlasting life we all will live and the question is when You die will you live forever with Christ or eternally separated from God. God never promised us a smooth path, sometimes we have ups and downs along the way but one thing is for sure. God changeth not. He is there for us and loves us and desires a relationship with us.
Will you trust Him so you can know without a doubt that you will spend eternity with Him when your turn is up here on Earth? That is the lesson I learned from my daughter's tragic accident. ʺI can trust Him no matter the circumstances. As Paul says in Philippians 4:4-7 and in 4:10-13. Praying through this testimony that you find peace in Christ and Christ alone. He is our strength.

"I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me.  Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.  I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do everything through him who gives me strength."  Philippians 4:10-13
