Blackberry Iced Tea Made with Homegrown Blackberries
Sweetened iced tea with lemon is going to seem boring and bland after trying homemade blackberry iced tea. I used my previously canned homemade blackberry syrup but you may make the syrup fresh (see link below):

4 cups water (preferably filtered)
5 black teabags (I used decaf tea)
ice cubes
1 half pint blackberry syrup (or make fresh)
Boil the water, remove from the burner and then steep the tea in the hot water. Allow to cool for 30 minutes (keep the teabags in the water while cooling) (see pictures below).
Make glass by glass instead of in a large pitcher - that way each person can make it as strong or weak as they desire.
Place ice cubes in a large glass. Pour the cooled tea over the ice (I poured in only a little more than half of the glass size). Now, pour in your desired amount of blackberry syrup (I use 1/3 to 1/2 cup of syrup).
The syrup makes the tea sweetened enough for my taste but you may add extra sugar if desired.
Serve immediately and
ENJOY!!!
