This is a series called: "Fun Fridays". On the first Friday of every month I will share with you an old photo or something from the recent past that made me happy; in hopes that it will at least make you smile 😊
This picture above might not be the cutest of "Fun Friday" pictures that I have shared to date but the details in the surrounding are what make this photo fun. This was Thanksgiving dinner 1980. Notice those plates? - they were plastic. Today they wouldn't be special enough to use for the Thanksgiving "tablescape" but at that time we thought they were very special. Look at the construction paper turkey that I had made at school (to the left of the shortest candle). Every holiday required a construction paper creation. Also, top left in the picture was our only phone in the house (at that time anyway). A few years after this picture we had more phone lines put into the house. This phone was a rotary dial telephone but it had a very long cord so a more private conversation could be had in the dining room around the corner. And finally, that hideous wallpaper mural behind me was the feature of our kitchen at that time.
