365 Days of Being THANKFUL - DAY#62

A few weeks ago I decided that I would start a new series on this blog called: "365 Days of Being THANKFUL".  The more I thought about it the more I felt led by God but then at the same time I started wondering if I would be able to do this for a whole year!  One month of being thankful is measurable let alone hundreds of days!
So, I'm now in the third month of my challenge - I must be able to find something each day that I am thankful for since I am so blessed.

DAY#62- Today I am thankful for lower gas prices

Christian Camp Songs & Chorus Hymns #1

Christian Camp Songs & Chorus Hymns

I spent many years in my late teens and early twenties working at Christian Camps.  I even met my husband at a Christian camp.  These wonderful memories of great experiences make Christian camp songs very special to me.

On top of featuring an old hymn each month in what I call "Old Fashioned Sunday Hymn Sing" - I will also be featuring a chorus hymn every month - ENJOY!

Please take time to  listen to the YouTube video below the lyrics.

"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God"  Psalm 42:1

As the Deer Panteth For the Water

by Martin J. Nystrom - written in 1981

1. As the Deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after thee.  You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship you
CHORUS

2.  You're my friend and you are my brother Even though you are a king.  I love you more than any other So much more than anything.
CHORUS

3.  I want you more than gold or silver, only you can satisfy.  You alone are the real joy giver and the apple of my eye.
CHORUS

Chorus

You alone are my strength, my shield to you alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship you

A special thanks to "The Worship Initiative" for sharing this with us on YouTube
