Energy, Frequency & Vibration #15 - STAINED GLASS WINDOWS

This is part 15 in the series on "Energy, Frequency & Vibration."  Last month we completed detailing the frequency of each color (see chart below).  Today we are going to be talking about STAINED GLASS WINDOWS in churches and the possible color therapy that occurs.

Just to refresh our memories - below is the frequency chart from the previous COLOR posts (and a link to each color post beneath this chart):

In months past we also learned about the shapes of church windows and how those patterns might have a significance when it comes to music that glorifies God.

Chromotherapy (Color Therapy) - a type of therapy that uses color and light to help treat physical and mental conditions.

Many people believe that chromotherapy is "new agey" but I believe that so many of these "alternative" treatments have been hijacked from God's creation and twisted into something evil.

It is our Heavenly Father who created color.  Let's consider a couple examples of when we received color therapy without realizing it:

- watching a sunset and being bathed in orange, yellow and red rays of color.

- walking through a mountain forest and the glimmering dashes of sunshine seem to be green and blue in color reflecting off of the evergreen trees.

I believe that stained glass windows in churches and cathedrals glorify God in two ways:

- through the pictures portraying Jesus Christ

- through the colors used

I know that our bodies are the new temple of God:

"Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?  If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple."

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

However, I also believe that the buildings where we worship can glorify God while also benefiting our bodies.  The energy, frequency and vibration from singing and soaking up the stained glass window colors while worshiping God in these buildings benefits everyone in attendance.

Color will be beyond our wildest imagination in heaven.  Let's begin by studying how God's throne in heaven is described in Revelation.  An emerald-like rainbow shines "encircled" around His throne with a sparkling crystal sea of glass. (see Scripture below):

The way New Jerusalem is described in Revelation is unfathomable.  "Brilliance like a precious jewel" and then everything always being compared to a crystal.  Have you ever noticed that crystal picks up and reflects all color around it?  Then, with the foundation of the Holy City being paved with all the unbelievable colors of the precious stones - I can't imagine how awesome it would gleam.  (see Bible verses below).

Enjoy every second of being bathed in God's glorious color creations.  Whether it is in nature or worshiping God in a church building where sunshine is gleaming through stained glass windows.

Unseen Protection from God

There have been many times on this blog when we have talked about how our Christian walk is more spiritual than physical.  The Bible verse below explains it perfectly:  

One area that we have not really focused on is the unseen protection that our Heavenly Father provides for His children (that's us!).  I am talking about angels.

This unseen realm that is around us every second of every day would be terrifying if it were not for the safety that we find in Jesus Christ our Savior.

The verse below is just wonderful!  Firstly, let's define the word "encamp."

Encampment - temporary dwelling for the purpose of organization for battle.

I picture a circle of angels surrounding each one of us, making it impossible for any evil to reach us in the center of that protection.  That circle would be impenetrable.

It is very important to note that in the verse above it says "those who fear Him".  Therefore, there will be no protection for the unbeliever, or for the one who goes against God and does evil.

Children have extra special protection.  Checkout what Jesus said in this Scripture passage below:

Remember the serious consequence if someone does harm any child:

"It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble."

Luke 17:2

Then, all throughout the Bible we see how God protected and guided His people by sending angels ahead of their travels, or by whisperings, or through dreams and visions.

Let's talk about the angelic celebration that occurs when just one person repents and follows Jesus.  I imagine it being a heaven-wide jubilation!  

Lastly, it is vital that we do NOT worship angels in any way.  Only God is to be worshiped.  See what John was told in the book of Revelation: 

It does not matter if you never have a personal encounter with one of God's angels - just know that our Heavenly Father is always providing unseen protection to His children.

Old Fashioned Sunday Hymn Sing #144

Welcome to the 144th Old Fashioned Sunday Hymn Sing!

I miss the old hymns that I remember from my childhood - there were no drums, no electric guitar and no mind numbing beat. It was just voices and maybe a piano or an organ. The choir led the congregation in singing - and the words of these hymns are poetic. I realize that there is a need for the modern "seeker oriented" worship music - but it is also necessary to have deeper songs (no offense intended to anyone who prefers the newer church songs).

I decided to have an "Old Fashion Sunday Hymn Sing" once a month on this blog.

I personally do NOT have a great singing voice - I used to play the guitar & piano but my voice is NOT an instrument. That's the great thing about this digital hymn sing, you can warble along without being embarrassed or without offending anyone else.

The hymns that we will be studying are taken from an old hymnal from a Baptist church that is no longer in existence - "The North American Hymnal" published in 1956 by "THE ROGER WILLIAMS PRESS"

I will also try to find a version of the featured hymn on "YouTube" to share with you each month.

Today's featured hymn is "Where He Leads Me" and the author is E.W. Blandly (Ernest William).  He was a British minister who immigrated to the United States with his wife in 1884.  In 1890 he felt led to move to Manhattan, NY (in a slum called "Hell's Kitchen") where he witnessed to "low life" and to gangs.  

I have included two beautiful versions of this hymn.  (videos are located below the lyrics).

20th of DECEMBER - Peaks & Valleys Advent Calendar

Welcome to the 2025 Advent Season!!  Advent is the season that celebrates Jesus coming to earth.  The word "Advent" is derived from the Latin word "adventus" which means "coming".  During Advent, Christians celebrate the birth of the Messiah Jesus who came to earth as a sacrifice so that we all might have eternal life.

In the "Strange Stuff" series we learned that our calendar has been distorted and changed (click HERE to read "13 Moonths & The Turtle Shell").  We learned that Jesus was most likely NOT born in December - however, that does not mean we should stop celebrating Jesus.  Yes, I agree that society has added evil to Christmas by focusing on santa, material things and food, but those should NEVER be our focus.  

Jesus is the ONLY reason that I celebrate Christmas.

Every year I feature a different Advent calendar and since this year has been particularly difficult for my family (both my mother-in-law and my father passed away), I felt led by the Holy Spirit to focus on Scripture showing God's help through both the bad and good times. 

There are so many Bible verses (Old & New Testaments), focusing on how our God is ALWAYS there for us during the lows and highs of life.  That's why I'm calling this the

"Peaks & Valleys Advent Calendar"

Jesus is always our Savior, during the peaks & valleys/highs and lows of life.

 

Today is December 20th and I am opening Box#20

Inside we find:

I'm not sure - at first I thought it was a little chapel with someone kneeling and praying but there is not cross on the steeple.  Then I thought it might be a sauna and that person is stoking the fire.  I'm going to go with my first thought and it is someone praying to our Heavenly Father thanking Him for sending His only begotten Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
